On Saturday, Germany has had major protests against extreme right and Christian Democrats.
25,000 people participated in the demonstration in Hanover, the state of Ala-Saks. As many as 200,000 people in Munich, Bavaria, participated in the demonstration.
There was also a demonstration in the City of Northwestern Germany, which was attended by at least about 35,000 people.
The protesters partially opposed the far-right AfD and accused the Christian Democrats of supporting them.
Protesters were angry with the Christian Democrats and the chairman of the party For Friedrich Merz Breaking the “firewall”. Last week, Merz decided to rely on AfD’s support in voting on the tightening of immigration laws.
Traditionally, in Germany, other parties have refused to cooperate with the extreme right. The practice is known as a firewall (BrandMauer).
