The Grebbeberg is one of the places where fierce battle was fought against the Germans, 85 years ago. But after three days the Dutch soldiers had to surrender because their position was hopeless. After Rotterdam was bombed flat and the Nazi regime also threatened to rank Utrecht to the ground, the Netherlands surrendered.
