Four -child mother Elsa, 32, is one of the ten killed in the Örebrodåd. Since the family came to Sweden, she has worked in school and in the elderly.
– Our plan was for us to manage ourselves and then do good for others. She was very positive and wanted to help everyone else, says her husband Simret Tekie.
It was at the school she studied as a nurse that she lost her life.
– It’s beyond all understanding. Anyone who does such a thing can not be understood. Especially when we have come and sought protection in a peaceful country, says Simret Tekie.
Received the death message on Thursday
For almost two days, the family was forced to wait for the confirmation that Elsa was one of the victims.
– I followed the course of events and learned that she could be one of them missing. We got ongoing updates, and finally, yesterday (Thursday), I was informed that she had passed away, says Simret Tekie.
How are the kids in this?
– Now it’s stable. In the beginning they were in shock, but we are many around those who provide support and create security.
