The World Cup in biathlon is moving ever closer – but Elvira Öberg is not completely restored after the cold.
– It’s going in the right direction. I was sicker than I usually are, she says.
Elvira Öberg Was the biggest Swedish jump for the biathlon World Cup before she fell ill, was second in the World Cup after five individual pallet seats this season, including two wins. Now she has slipped to third place in the World Cup.
Two years ago, Elvira Öberg became ill shortly after the World Cup in Oberhof started and missed several competitions.

This year she fell ill three weeks before the World Cup in Lenzerheide and missed the competition week in Antholz and the training during the first World Cup upload week. She was back in training only on Monday.
– If everything goes as we hope, she trains with the others tomorrow. She has been running interval passes a week, says national team manager Johannes Lukas.

The World Cup starts with mixed relay on February 12. It is unclear if Elvira Öberg takes its place in it.
– I haven’t thought clearly yet, given the disease. We’ll see everyone in a hard workout tomorrow. I take out the relay team on Tuesday, says Johannes Lukas.
Also Sebastian Samuelsson Was cold after the competitions in Antholz and have lost a few days of training and have run individually until now. He will also train with the team tomorrow.
