Here, principals practice school attacks – unique education in Östersund

The course “Leading in Crisis” is the only one of its kind in Sweden and this week collects about 50 principals from all over the country. The training includes exercises in the university’s crisis lab.

“You probably shouldn’t think that it can’t happen,” says Helena Larsson, principal at Härjedalen’s high school. You should not be afraid but prepared.

The course is aimed at principals and so far about 85 people have completed the education. A new round begins this fall.

The school shooting in Örebro shows the importance of practicing

The attack in Örebro characterizes the participants this week and of course affects.

– It is with sadness in the heart that we follow what happens in Örebro, but we cannot be prepared enough, says Tomas Erazim, principal at Eksjö high school

– If you do not catch your eye on what can happen now, I do not know what would be needed, says Mona Sonelius, principal at Alma Folk High School in Stockholm.
