It was in mid -January that sports administration – an app used by just over 1,700 sports associations in Sweden and about 1.1 million adults and children – was subjected to a data breach.
“In the worst possible scenario, all personal data for all associations and their members are covered,” it was already on the company’s website at an early stage.

At the same time, the associations were encouraged to be particularly vigilant when it came to contact attempts from unknown email users and unknown telephone numbers.
Protected personal data may be leaked
On Wednesday could DN Report that a hacker group – called “ransomhub” according to the newspaper – threatens to leak the data they have come across with sports administration. The following day, DN reported that several children, with protected personal data, were in the material.
– The attackers have brought with them data that contains personal data. It is also the scenario that we have constantly assumed and acted after. We still cannot confirm the extent, have Jennie EverhedHead of Communications at Lime Technologies, who is the company behind the app, told TT.
Lime Technologies does not negotiate or communicate with the hacker group, in accordance with recommendations from police and security experts.
– We expect data to be released in some form within the next few days, which is also what the attackers have communicated on public forums.

Security College: “Change Password”
On Security Collegewhich is an initiative by the Swedish Anti -Theft Association, the development of the data breach at SportAdmin has been followed.
In a new update, you come up with a call to those affected.
“As Ransomhub claims to have access to passwords, many sports radio users must also switch passwords. All users who have chosen the same password for more websites than Sportadmin must, however, change passwords on the other websites themselves,” writes and recommends further that you get a so -called password manager.
