Pure nostalgia: this film frequency knows every child
As a seller Christian on August 7, 2023 at Bares for Rares, nobody could have guessed that he would totally get one of the dealers with his treasure he had brought with him. But first of all from the front:
The rare piece is a particularly iconic film prop, which was seen in the first part Harry Potter and the stone of the wise (2001): Harry’s invitation to Hogwarts magic school. At first glance, it is “only” a nasty letter, but know real fans, what exciting story is behind the object.
One of the best -known film scenes of all time: Harry Potter gets owl post
Fans of the Harry Potter films of course immediately recognized the scene in which the letter could be seen. Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) receives an invitation for the Hogwarts school for witchcraft and magic. Because his evil relatives, the Dursleys, prevent him from getting writing his hands, more and more letters appear. First occasionally, then in masses, until they finally flock through the fireplace and window into the house. One of these letters landed on the table at Bares for Rares.
For Harry Potter fans, these letters have an emotional meaning: they symbolize Harry’s liberation from his bleak life with the cruel Dursleys. Here you can check the world -famous film scene:

Cash for Rares dealers is in love with shock: That’s why he absolutely wants the Harry Potter letter
Expert Deltev Kümmel finds the noble framed letter extremely appealing – in addition to set photos, a certificate of authenticity is even included, which proves that the letter could really be seen in the film. So nothing stands in the way of a successful sale. The expert estimates the value of the exhibit at 800 to 1,000 euros.
The letter is extremely well received in the dealer room. One in particular is completely out of the house: antique dealer Julian Schmitz-Avila. As a real Potter fan, he recognizes the rare piece immediately: “This is one of the letters that were sent to Harry Potter in the first part.”
Schmitz-Avila pays a whopping 750 euros and directly reveals what he intends to do with the exhibit: he will give his girlfriend’s prop. Because this is an even bigger fan: “When I get home with it today, I did everything right.” In a now deleted Instagram video there was to see how the dealer surprised his girlfriend with the gift at home.
