Denmark led the European Championship qualifier with four points at most in the first period, but Sweden won it with 26-21 and then steadily ripped away, where Denmark could never threaten seriously-had to end in stressful positions.
– We play very well. We score 98 points which is tough to do in international matches. We have a high percentage but we have it because we get to good positions. 24 assists I think show that we create those modes together, says the union captain Kevin Taylor Lundgren to the Basketball Association.
Alva Stark found no counter -means
Denmark’s young Swedish coach Alva Stark, club coach for Högsbo, found no countermeasure against the Swedish superiority.
– We must be honest and say that all teams in the European Championships will be dramatically much better than Denmark that are not a real value meter, but Sweden did a good job, says Rajacic.
Sweden concludes the European Championship qualifier by meeting Estonia in Luleå on February 9. The European Championship playoffs in June will be played in Germany, Italy, Greece and the Czech Republic. It is drawn March 8th.
