The perpetrator stepped into the Risbergska school in Örebro on Tuesday and killed ten people. One of those who lost their lives was the student Salim Karim Iskef, his family tells TV4 News. He turned 28 years old. Salim, who studied to become a nurse, had recently engaged with his girlfriend Kareen Elia. – You have no words. I can’t describe the emotions. We would get married on July 25, she tells TV4 News. In addition to his studies, Salim worked as a care assistant, which he did since the Coronapandemia when he felt he wanted to help. Salim dreamed of a future with Kareen. – He worked, worked, worked hard to buy a house two months ago but he couldn’t live there, she says. – He wanted to travel the whole world. He wanted to become a celebrity. He wanted to help others. Get family and children, she continues. She tried to get the police to go in and save him but they could not enter the school. She says that ambulance personnel were admitted three hours later but that it was too late. Salim’s big sister Hanan is critical of the police waiting for so long to go into school. She is also critical that he has not yet been identified.
