Six months after the demonstrations which ejected from power the ex-prime minister Sheikh Hasina, the figure of the “iron blunder” remains the ultimate rejecting. Information about a future speech by the exiled leader in India has lit the wick of calls for the demonstration. The latter have turned into riots, destroying buildings bearing the image of Sheikh Hasina or his father, a central figure in independence, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
