In prison for bankrupt entrepreneur who extorted an Utrecht lawyer curator

What is a curator?

A curator (usually a lawyer) is appointed by the court when a company is declared bankrupt. He or she must ensure that the bankruptcy runs smoothly and that creditors get as much as possible what they are entitled to.

After a bankruptcy, the curator takes over the business and management of the company. The owner may then no longer make decisions for the company and his assets will be seized.
