Mario Kart 8 Deluxe maintained its popularity with 67.35 million sales, while the newly released Super Mario Party Jamboree was the fastest selling game of the series with 6.17 million sales. However, Switch hardware sales decreased by 30.6 %compared to last year and game sales decreased by 24.4 %. Despite this decrease, Nintendo managed to keep Switch’s overall performance strong with its sales success.
Nintendo also announced his future plans. The company made the first introduction of Switch 2 and announced that the details of the new console will be shared at the Nintendo Direct event on April 2. While the price and release date of the new console are not yet clear, the expectations are quite high.
