It happens in the IKEA kitchen which customers never see

Ikea started as a local furniture manufacturer in the small town of Älmhult as early as 1943. Today, just over 80 years later, they are up to 460 department stores globally.

And almost as well known as the chain is for their furniture, they have become for their food – not least the meatballs.

IKEA release new meatballs

It wasn’t long ago that IKEA announced that they will produce new meatballs on the menu, signed the star chef Jessie Summer Ström.

The new meatballs will consist of half meat, half mastered from Swedish -grown legumes.

The meatballs in question will be sold from February 10, for a fixed -term period.

In a new video on Instagram, customers are allowed to follow behind the scenes at Ikea Malmö’s restaurant. And it contains several slightly unexpected elements, it turns out.

The day starts with picking out chef clothes and apron – then it’s time to start preparing cream sauce for all hungry lunch customers.

The employee then reveals something about the work pass in the restaurant, which may not be entirely a given for visitors:

– Wash, it’s also a big part of the job. Believe it or not.

Lunch also eats the staff out in the restaurant, by the clip to judge.

Not completely unspoken, one of the dishes from the Ikea menu is enjoyed, carefully hopped up with one of the cold drinks.

When the intense serving of customers, the kitchen staff is over, a cup of coffee and a coffee, not infrequently consisting of a cinnamon bun.

The fig is valued very high at IKEA, says the employee.

The work session ends by handing in their kitchen clothes to be off to laundry and waving goodbye to a large painting by the founder Ingvar Kamprad.
