Good news awaits thousands of retirees within a few days.
This is good news that has gone unnoticed for nearly 600,000 retirees. While in recent weeks have been punctuated by the debates on the increase in basic pensions, another increase has been announced for certain retirees. On the sly while this revaluation is much more important than that which awaits the majority of the elders.
The announcement of this boost fell just before going to the new year and only a few initiates had spotted it. In 2025, some pensions will increase by 5.3%, more than double the 2.2% that will inherit most of the retirees. A nice boost for the households concerned.
At the end of December, an increase in additional retirement for agricultural non-employees was decided. These are agricultural operations or business leaders, spouses participating in the work (status abolished in 2009), operating or agricultural business employees, as well as agricultural family aid. All those who enter one of these categories perceive compulsory supplementary retirement (RCO).
As with the complementary to private employees (Agirc-Arrco), it works by a point system. The value attributed to each point has been increased on 1er January. A much greater increase than applied in the main pension plans. Indeed, the point value increased from € 0.36,42 to € 0.3835, which represents an increase of 5.3%.
For example, for an operating chief who worked for 40 years, he has accumulated 4000 points. His supplementary retirement will therefore go from € 121.40 per month to € 127.83 per month. Or a gain of € 77.20 over the year.
The amount of this additional retirement pension is obviously added to the basic pension. The two are paid by a single cash register: the agricultural social mutual, better known as the MSA. This increase will be visible on bank accounts when paying the January pension, made on Friday, February 7, 2025.
