Google Gemini: Advertising would soon be added to the AIA assistant

Google Gemini Advertising would soon be added to the AIA

Increasingly integrated into Android smartphones, Google Gemini may well be filled with advertisements in the coming months.

In the AI race, Google is a hell of a competitor. While Apple is still hanging around, especially in Europe, with its Apple Intelligence, Google has a large part of the Android smartphones with its own solution called Gemini.

Attached to other Google solutions, Gemini seems to have good press with its users. Google, however, does not seem entirely satisfied with its AI assistant since the latter is still exempt from means of remuneration for the company outside the subscription to Gemini Advanced. This subscription allows in particular to benefit from the latest language model available for Google AI for 21.99 euros per month in France.

Google, however, seems to be well inclined to garner some recipes on the back of users who use the basic version of Gemini. During a meeting to contact its investors, the CEO of the firm, Sundar Pichai, notably said that the company had “already very good ideas” to implement advertising within Gemini: “On the monetization side, we focused on free uses and subscriptions. But you have already seen that with Google, we have always wanted to direct the user experience and we already have very good ideas for concepts of natively integrated advertisements. “

Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, notably gathered with the advertising integrated in Youtube to justify the upcoming arrival of Pubs within Gemini: “As we have done for YouTube, we will give several options to users over time. But for this year, we will focus on subscriptions.”

It would therefore seem that advertisements are soon included in Gemini for users who are not subscribers. These changes should not however be planned before at least 2026 and it will be necessary to see how Google is doing it to monetize Gemini requests without degrading the user experience.
