Rubio: US weighing El Salvador’s President’s President Prison Proposal Brief news

On Monday, President Nayib Bukele offered to receive prisoners in the El Salvador prisons from the United States – including US citizens.

US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio says that El Salvador’s President’s proposal to take prisoners in the United States to El Salvador is a “generous offer”.

President Nayib bukee offered on Monday to receive prisoners from the El Salvador prisons from the United States – including US citizens.

Bukele himself has intervened in the gang crime that delighted El Salvador with hard -hitting mass arrests. To this end, he has, among other things, built a 40,000 prison prison prison in the country.

According to Rubio, sending prisoners to El Salvador can come across legal obstacles.

– Of course we have to look at the offer. This is obviously related to legal issues, Rubio said while visiting Costa Rica.

“No one has ever suggested that we outsource a fraction of the cost of at least some of the most dangerous and violent criminals we have in the United States,” says Rubio.
