The Dark Knight,, Inception, Interstellar … For 25 years, Christopher Nolan has established himself as a major director of his generation and has signed many classics of the seventh art. With Oppenheimer In 2023, the filmmaker also obtained recognition of his peers: his biopic of the creator of the atomic bomb earned him Oscars, Golden Globes, and many other prices.
Suffice to say that his next film is impatiently awaited. And fans will not be disappointed, since the British director is now attacking a major work in world literature, served by a five -star cast, which already promises to put their eyes with spectators.
As its name suggests, Odyssey Will be the adaptation of the poem in ancient Greek of Homer which recounts the perilous return to Ithaca d’Ulysse after the Trojan War. This work is considered both a centerpiece of ancient Greek culture, but above all as a timeless masterpiece of world literature. Everyone knows at least a passage from Ulysse’s trip, whether it is his confrontation with cyclops, sirens, the Calypso nymph or the Magician Circée.
It is therefore a highly daring project to which Christopher Nolan is still attacking. And for an epic film, there was a casting up to ambitions. The director has therefore chosen to bring together many faces well identified in Hollywood, some of which have already played under his direction: Matt Damon (Oppenheimer), Tom Holland (Spider-man : No way home), Zendaya (Dune, second part, challengers), Anne Hathaway (Interstellar), Lupita Nyong’o (Twelve Years a Slave), Robert Pattinson (Tenet), Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road), Jon Bernthal (The Punisher), Benny Safdie (Good Time, Oppenheimer), John Leguizamo (John Wick), Elliot page (Inception), Samantha Morton (Minority Report), Himesh Patel (Tenet, YesterDay), Bill Irwin (Interstellar) were announced within the distribution.
Odyssey is therefore a long -awaited peplum of spectators who promises to make the event when it was released. The shooting is scheduled for this month of February 2025, while the exit is for the time being announced in the United States around July 17, 2026 (July 15 in France). The moviegoers can already note the date in their agenda.
