The man was arrested outside the Russian Embassy on January 28 and is now arrested on suspicion of attempted grossly unlawful intrusion.
The prosecutor believes that the man has recently “shown an increased interest in other Russian addresses in Sweden”, according to the news agency Siren.
Previously convicted of unlawful intrusion
It turns out that the same man was sentenced in 2018 for just grossly unlawful intrusion as well as attempts at violence against an official and damage to forensic psychiatric care. Then because he has driven into the so -called “Russian house” area on Lidingö.
He was then convicted of entering an area of the Russian Federation’s trade representation and thus violated foreign power.
The suspected man denies the intentional crime. The district court decided at the detention hearing that they want to see a medical examination that assesses the man’s mental health.
