Sara Hector’s noted interview

After one of the big slalom winnings, Hector made a noted television interview. There was a lot of confusion when the reporter from Slovenia asked what the Swede was thinking about between the rides, while Sara Hector thought she asked what she ate between the rides.
– Between the rides? What I ate? Eh, I ate a sandwich with some scrambled eggs, she replied.
– Thought! I thought you said. I just thought I would try to go as good skiing as I could. Nothing more, she said then when the misunderstanding was reduced.

In the Viaplay broadcast then the commentator was heard Janne Blomqvist say:
– It is not the easiest to interview and not the easiest to be interviewed by either.
– She’s so into her thoughts, it’s just flowing. Not easy to understand, my God, filled the expert Jessica Lindell Vikarby in.

Hector’s own words about the event

Before the World Cup, Sara Hector is now forced to explain to Expressen what really went wrong during the interview in Slovenia. She admits to the evening newspaper that many people heard from her and commented on the extremely strange interview.
– I heard a little wrong. I have received many questions about actually. There are many who have commented, she says, laughing.

She also explains why she thought the reporter asked her what she had eaten between the rides.
– It was a little fun, apparently food was everything I thought about. I might be hungry, had not eaten so much lunch, she says, and then tells how she thinks it is to be interviewed immediately after a victory:
– It can also be very emotional, it is a little different. Usually it is most spontaneous, I heard a little bad, it was perhaps a little noisy around. I was also surprised by that question.

So fun that you dare to bid on yourself, Sara! Many people laughed and suffered with you there in the moment. Good luck at the World Cup now – we’re cheering on you!
