With Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 on February 4, 2025, a special, because wonderfully idiosyncratic role play. So special and idiosyncratic that every RPG fan should risk a look.
The first Kingdom Come: Deliverance from 2018 is known for being very idiosyncratic, bulky, but also special and fascinating. The successor Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, which will be released on February 4, 2025 for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, retains this special, but also improves many criticisms from part 1.
In the following we examine the special features of the Warhorse Studios role-playing game and give you five reasons why every genre fan should give Heinrich’s new adventure a chance.

Reason 1: Oh, you beautiful Bohemia
Even the approximately 16 square kilometers of the first part were allowed to be among the best, open worlds in Games story despite the numerous bugs. KCD2 builds up again with its two huge regions. Rarely has you seen so naturally designed forests and forest soils in one game. But every area of the Open World also looks coherent and authentically built.
For example, each property has a clumsy toilet or an improvised thunder bar. Fortresses, villages, mills and Co. are understandably placed. With Kuttenberg, the largest city of the still young RPG series, with church, winery and more in the surrounding area awaits you in the second region.
There are still two reasons that you can dive so wonderfully in the Bohemia of the 15th century: 1) Thanks to the first person perspective, you are actually always right in the middle of it. 2) The games give you the room to enjoy the dense forests and wide fields or meadows. There are not a quest giver, events and employment measures on every corner.
Instead, you always let your horse follow the road for a while, while you wander into the distance, enjoy the atmosphere and look for exciting places for which it could be worthwhile to briefly break out of the path chosen. These rides alone make you happy.
On the next page it continues with the reasons 2 and 3.
