Now you really start to feel it. We are already in February and the season’s big highlight of the ski season is just a few weeks away.

Svahn lacks a medal

It has been two long years and now it is time for the ski World Cup again. One who has really longed for more than everyone else is the Swedish ski star Linn Svahn.

Although Lycksele’s pride has been 25 years old, she still has not been able to show her full potential at a major championship yet. The 2019 World Cup was still in JVM, the World Cup 2021 she performed despite a serious shoulder injury and then she missed the Winter Olympics in 2022.

Linn’s super shape

Once Svahn returned to just before the World Cup 2023, she had to struggle a lot to find the shape and it resulted in two snowy fourth places. Last season she found the super shape again and was outstanding at the World Cup – but then it was obviously championship -free.

Therefore, she has had her sights set on the ski World Cup 2025 in Trondheim for a very long time. And we know what incredible potential she possesses, because there is no other skier in the world who have such an urgent and winning skull that Linn Svahn possesses.

Concern for Linn Svahn

But during this year’s season, unfortunately, Linn has not been recognized. She has only managed with a pallet place at the World Cup, a second place in sprint during the Tour de Ski. Instead, it has mostly been about missed races, silence on silence and focus on training instead of competition.

The plan is so clear that she should be 100%for the ski World Cup to salvage her very first championship medal in her career. But this strange winter obviously makes me extremely worried about Linn Svahn and what she can do in Trondheim.

I really hope that she will find back to the big success in the spring of 2024 when she lined up sprint victories. But I am phasing because it can be another frustrating championship for Linn, happy to disprove me!
