UTRECHT – In almost the whole of the Netherlands, the number of cancer diagnoses has risen in the past year. The increase was greatest in the province of Utrecht. In 2024, cancer was diagnosed here among 9,285 people, 7.4 percent more than the year before. Skin cancer was most common, followed by breast and prostate cancer.
