Recently, Netflix has released several Swedish series that have made success on the streaming platform.
In November, for example, the crime drama series “Helicopter Robil”, about the mentioned robbery in Västberga in 2009, premiered and in January the drama series “The breakthrough”, about the double murder in Linköping in 2004, premieres. Both sailed on Netflix’s top list of the most viewed series at the time.

Viveca Sten Has written a book series of the same name as the TV series and Netflix production “ÅRMORDEN” is based on the first two books: “The sacrificial maker” and “Dalskuggan”, according to a press release from the streaming service.
-The year murder means a lot to me and it feels very fun that it is now time for the TV series to see the light of day on a leading streaming service like Netflix! Both as author of the books and executive producer for the series, it is hugely exciting to see the characters come to life through such good actors. My dream is, of course, that the TV series will be just as popular and successful as the books have become both in Sweden and abroad, says Sten in the press release.

“The Murder” is a crime drama series where viewers are allowed to follow the police Hanna Ahlander Which, when she is suspended from her job in Stockholm, takes her pick and pack and moves to her sister’s holiday home in Åre.
“When a young woman disappears in the icy Lucian night, Hanna can’t help but start investigating the case on her own. With a understaffed police station and a difficult family situation, local police Daniel Lindskog must reluctantly receive Hannah’s help – but the big question is whether they can trust on each other, ”writes about the action in the press release.
