The end of life can be difficult, insecure and painful. In the hospice, the volunteers and nurses try to make the guests as comfortable as possible. “Recently there was a nine -year -old boy who wanted to stay with grandma again, then we just put a bed,” says Perk. “Last summer we had a ‘pancake party’ in the garden for a mother with toddlers. The mother die and how nice it is to be able to do that with your children.”
