Developer explains why we should count on bugs at the release of GTA 6

A former developer at Rockstar explained in an interview why the world of GTA 6 is not so easy to free bugs and why we should take this into account for the release.

Who is this developer? It is Mike Yorke. He worked as an animator to GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 before leaving the company.

In an interview with the Podcast Kiwi Talkz, which has now been taken offline, Yorke commented on the Open World of GTA 6 – and why it is not so easy to get bow -free.

Unpredictability causes problems

Why should we expect bugs for the release of GTA 6? Yorke says that GTA 6 should become “like no other” due to its unpredictability and unpredictability of what the player can do in this title.

Yorke compares the Open World of GTA 6 with that of The Witcher 3, which is also huge, but works very differently. Witcher 3 mostly consists of nature, occasionally you ride into a small village. There are rarely real cities that are large, but are still manageable.

The densely populated, urban surroundings of Vice City should make the game much more difficult to optimize. “There are many things that can happen that you don’t really think about until a random boy tries in his basement,” says Yorke.

This does not mean that you would not look for bugs yourself and test the performance. When Yorke worked on GTA 5, he says, the developers had played the game “all day, every day, every day, for about 8 to 10 hours a day” and looked for problems.

In an earlier episode of the podcast, Mike Yorke also commented on the performance of the game. Rockstar has still not commented on how many frames the game should run on consoles, but in his assessment, GTA 6 could run with only 30 fps.
