Since 2009, the collection Murders at … offers viewers of France 3 to follow breathtaking criminal investigations around France. The concept is simple but effective: each episode stages one or more mysterious murders taking place in a different region of France, often in emblematic places of local heritage.

Over the years and episodes, the teams of Murders at … have thus surveyed the alleys of Strasbourg, explored the Corsican landscapes, along the Norman beaches or even bivouacked in the Alps. More than a hundred destinations have been honored according to these regional thrillers which combine intrigue and tourism promotion. All with the benevolence and sometimes the financing of tourist offices, eager to highlight their most beautiful assets at a prime time. A wedding of corpses and regional promotion at first glance surprising, but often winning on the audiences on the audience.

With this success, producers of Murders at … have decided to see bigger by venturing out for the first time outside the national borders. This is how Belgium, and more precisely the city of Tournai, welcomed the cameras for a new unprecedented opus. Soberly Murders in Tournaithis TV movie will be broadcast this Saturday, February 1 at 9:05 p.m. on Saturday, on France 3.

What does the TV movie Murders in Tournai ?

The intrigue of Murders in Tournai It already looks like … intriguing! It all starts with the macabre discovery of an arm floating on the Scheldt, the river which crosses the pretty town of the flat country. Mathilde, a young Tournai police inspector, is in charge of the investigation. And a detail immediately draws his attention: the member is tattooed with a mysterious bee. The case is complicated when it turns out that the arm was able to derive long before failing under the bridge of the holes, famous local monument.

It is therefore impossible to locate with certainty the crime scene which could just as easily be in France, the Scheldt connecting the two countries. The French authorities then dispatched Vincent, a fine bloodhound, to support Mathilde. The Franco-Belgian tandem will have to navigate between boatmen with a troubled past and the symbolism of bees, a legacy of Childéric Ier which made Tournai the capital of the kingdom of the Franks in the 5th century.

If the investigation promises its share of twists and turns, viewers will be able, as always in Murders at …, Remember the sumptuous landscapes of Tournai, the “city with 5 bell towers” listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the Grand-Place to the cathedral via the belfry, the most photogenic places should be in the spotlight, putting a welcome spotlight on this unknown gem of Wallonia.

The other attraction of Murders in Tournai lies in his casting casting harmoniously French and Belgian talents. The sparkling Alexia Depicker and the dark David Kammenos, already seen in many series of the public service, form a shock duo. They will be surrounded in particular by Nathalie Besançon (Louis la Brocante), Anne Girouard (Kaamelott) French side, but also Belgians Louka Minella (Public enemy) and Daphné Huyn, humorist revealed by the program Free tribune on France 4.
