The songs “Kamikaze Life” and “Voice of Silence” were mostly liked by the Swedish people
Maja Ivarsson has been one of the advance favorites in what is The Sounds front figure’s debut in the Melodifestivalen. And she held the pressure in the first competition in Luleå when she took one of the direct places for the final.
I am so terribly happy, because I am a competition person. Now we have come halfway anyway and it feels so good, says Maja Ivarsson in SVT.
She gets asked if she believed in a final place when she woke up this morning:
Absolutely!

The fourth time
For the fourth time, viewers John Lundvik also voted directly to the final in the Melodifestivalen.
“Voice of the Silent” was favorite from the start. The gaming companies’ odds for John Lundvik to move on in the competition was the lowest of all. And the winner from 2019 was the first contribution to take a final place.
I am completely exhausted. It is so nice that it became like this, and I am so happy. I will come to preschool and be a cool dad on Monday – only it is worth a win, says Lundvik to SVT.
In a third place, Meira Omar, who this year alone goes to the final qualification, ended up, while those who end up in place four -six go out. It is a change towards previous years, when two contributions have gone to the final qualification.

The cameraman fell
Everything went as smeared in the Melodifestival’s first competition in Luleå, except at one time.
The introduction of Meira Omar’s number “Hush hush” became a little extra dramatic when a cameraman suddenly fell and a hand appeared in the picture. However, the photographer continues to work, according to SVT who announced to Expressen: “We continue to investigate what happened.”
A cameraman fell under Meira Omar’s contribution “Hush hush”. Meira Omar still took a place in the final qualification.

Gunilla Persson and Miss Snusk
This year’s program manager Edvin Törnblom and Keyyo started the competition in Luleå in great style. Both Gunilla Persson and Miss Snusk participated in a lavish opening number and with the script by, among others, Edward af Sillén, boots were given to several contemporary phenomena.
During the first half of the broadcast, the program managers operated with the disqualified Dutch artist Joost Klein from last year’s Eurovision Song Contest, Bianca Ingrosso’s makeup brand and the hatred of Dragqueens who read fairy tales for children.
Middle act during the competition was the Gällivare success Hooja and Finland’s Eurovision favorite Käärijä. Together, they performed the common single “San Francisco Boy”. Inside the arena in Luleå, the audience’s cheer became when the artists went up on stage so big that they almost did not hear the presentation of the program managers.
