A new role -playing game on Steam wants to simulate life in a Roman city and leave you as many ways as possible to navigate it – whether you commit the robbery of your life or prefer to go into politics.
What game is we talking about? What is meant is Streets of Fortuna, a new Sandbox RPG from Kitfox Games. These are also the publisher of the settlement simulation Dwarf Fortress, which is extremely positive on Steam. Its developers also advised to advise at Streets of Fortuna.
Streets of Fortuna simulates life in a Roman city around 500 AD. This is inspired by the then capital of the Eastern Roman Empire, Constantinople. The game simulates the daily routine of 1,000 residents with whom you can interact to earn your bread in the city of Fortuna.
You can see a trailer for the game here:
Live like in the old Constantinople
What does the trailer show? Visually, the game relies on a stylized look, but the world should be very interactive. You can take everything you are not riveted and nail-proof in the world- it doesn’t matter whether you already belong to someone, it doesn’t matter as long as you are not caught.
In Fortuna, your livelihood can not only be earned by theft. You could also look for an honest craft and become a cook, dealer or priest. According to the developers on Steam, one wants to focus primarily on making the gameplay as a thief as fun as possible.
Unlike in many other role -playing games, the NPCs should not be a backdrop: talking who you want with, asks them for the way or follow them to find out what they are. You can use this knowledge to wrap a person around your finger – or to give you political advantages if you want to compete with the city’s Lord in an unsightly way.
When does the game appear? There is currently no release period for Streets of Fortune, but it already has a shop page on Steam.
