PSG, Monaco, Lille and Brest, the four French representatives continue their way in the Champions League! Paris assured against Stuttgart (4-1) while Lille even avoids the dams and climbed in the round of 16 after her box against Feyenoord (6-1). Find the complete classification.
Everything is fine for French clubs! The four French representatives pass the group stage of the Champions League. PSG had to draw against Stuttgart and did much better by winning 4-1 thanks in particular to a hat-trick by Ousmane Dembélé. The good deal is mainly for Lille who takes advantage of her box against Feyenoord (6-1) to go back to 7th place and climb directly in the 8th finals. Brest, fell in front of real Madrid (0-3) and Monaco exceeded by Inter (3-0), were guaranteed to finish in the Top 24 and will play the dams, like Manchester City returned from far away to win against Bruges (3-1) and which finishes 22nd.

What are the new rules of the Champions League?
The Champions League lost its group stage in 2024-2025. This is transformed into a “regular season”, with a unique classification. For the first stage of this new generation champions League, each team must play 8 games (against 6 previously), each time with a different opponent. So also finished in passing the round trip system, characteristic of previous versions. The matches were decided by a draw made at the end of August and based on a system of hats, making it possible to preserve a certain equity in the course.
The Champions League then finds a semblance of normality at the end of this mini championship. One semblance only since the teams finished in the first 8 places qualify directly for knockout stages, with the teams classified between the 9th and 24th places, which will have to go through dams in a round-trip format. Previously, the final phase of the Champions League started directly with quarter -finals.
