Eduard Hallberg, Finland, tinted the traditional Schladming evening slalom in the World Cup in the Alpine Skiing World Cup.
According to Ski Sport Finland announcement, more than 20,000 spectators had been narrowed to the Alpine Village with 4,000 inhabitants.
In the first round Eduard Hallberg was 25th. He missed the fastest round, German Linus from the rhinestone 2.54 seconds.
Finland’s second counter Jesper Pohjolainen It was 32nd and was scarce in the second round, only 0.13 seconds. The Nordic difference to the top was 2.91 seconds.
Hallberg started the race with poor preparation.
– Preparing for the race was not the easiest due to back problems and illness. Now the body is fine and the bill feels good, Hallberg comments in the release.
Already after the opening round, Hallberg has a great atmosphere.
– This is quite a stunning, legendary evening race. There was a nice mark on the track and the track stayed in good shape.
– Maybe the bill was a bit too saving, but it was a sensible bet. Then in the second round the faucet open.
In the second round, Hallberg also benefited from its place of origin and kept his promise.
The faucet was open as Hallberg shook the fastest fall in the second round. He rose ten to 15th.
Success tasted to Hallberg because he had been left in his last six races without the World Cup points. He dropped out of those races, once he was rejected, and in the slalom of Kitzbühel he did not survive the second round.
– The second round track was more twisting. Such a track I like. It was really nice to count. The decline started well right from the start. The audience was staggering, and from the beginning to the finish I heard the audience’s cry and the voice of the commentator.
The investment is the second best in the World Cup for Hallberg. At its best, he has been eighth, in Gurgl slalom in Austria at the beginning of this season.
Norwegian Timon Haugan rose to the race before Austria Manuel Feller (+0.20) and Austria Fabio Gstreini (+0.67). After the opening round, Linus Strasser, Germany, fell fourth (+0.77).
