Modo won the bottom meeting away against HV71 by clear 5-1.
After the match, Jönköping Club’s coach Anton Blomqvist was mocked by opponent Mikkel Aagaard.
– He burns in the skull. He was very pleased with the win and wanted to show it, Blomqvist tells Expressen.
HV71 is a new table jumbo in SHL. After the home loss against Modo, which before the match was last in the league, they are passed by the opponents. Modo won 5-1 and leaves the bottom placement for the first time since November.
Anton Blomqvist was disturbed in the TV4 interview
After the match was interviewed Anton BlomqvistHV71’s coach, in TV4 Play. In the middle of the broadcast, he was interrupted by an opponent who suddenly directed a cry at him.
– They (Modo) are a little happy that they have won. You have to be, he said.

He later tells in a snack with Expressen that it was Mikkel Aagaard who gormed him. They have met each other earlier in Allsvenskan when Blomqvist trained AIK.
– I have met Aagaard for many years in Allsvenskan. He burns in the skull. He was very pleased with the win and wanted to show it. But I do as if I put it in the bank, he says.
Aagaard reveals what he screamed
The Danish reveals that it was all about sending a small mockery to the opposing trainer. It is based on the fact that Blomqvist, when AIK met Modo in Hockeyallsvenska quarterfinals in 2023, shouted to his players that it would “play dirty” at the end of a match. The Modo players have not forgotten.
– I don’t know, the whole team has some fun with that “play dirty” from the time he was in AIK. We have used it as fuel for our group, that we should be tough to play against. It was personal. We have a tight group that was already there. We know about how tough that series was. You don’t forget that kind of thing, Aagaard tells Expressen.

Mikkel Aagaard, and some other players, should have cheered after the victory and shouted “play dirty” to Anton Blomqvist.
– We get to enjoy this. The first ten are like that but we had decided that there were three points that applied, I am proud that all the guys stepped up, says the Danish national team forward.
