A construction error in dozens of bridges and viaducts throughout the Netherlands can cause great traffic disruption in the future. The constructions wear faster than provided. As a result, there is a chance that heavy traffic will be banned, cars will have to drive slower or there should be supporting structures, the NOS reported. In the province of Utrecht it is about the Irenesluis near Wijk bij Duurstede and the bridge on the A27 on the Merwedekanaal. But the problems are not urgent there, says Rijkswaterstaat.
