US Foreign Minister Marco Rubio has expanded the exemption list of the Foreign Aid freezing decision. According to Rubio, the United States will continue to finance humanitarian commodities such as shelters and medicines.
Rubio said in an internal memo last week that the United States will suspend almost all external aid with a few exceptions.
A Tuesday exception decision would seem to show green light, for example, for the financing of drugs in the Pepfar project against Hi-virus and AIDS.
Earlier Tuesday, the UN UN World Health Organization (WHO) urged the United States to reconsider the interruption of foreign aid from the HIV support program in developing countries.
