Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyj says that several humanitarian projects have paused its operations because the United States has paused foreign support.

Ukraine will replace the money where possible.

Among other things, organizations that support veterans and local media in Ukraine are affected by the US aid break.

– There are many projects. We will decide which of them are essential and need solutions now. We can provide parts of this funding through our general finances, says the president in his evening speech.

– We will definitely support the priority issues, those concerning Ukrainian children, our veterans and programs that protect our infrastructure.

After US President Donald Trump took office at his post, he decided that all US aid would be stopped for 90 days, to see if the projects are in line with the president’s political goals.

Zelenskyj has previously said that the United States has not stopped its military support for Ukraine.

Ukraine is extremely dependent on foreign support for humanitarian work since Russia began the full -scale offensive of the country in February 2022. The United States accounts for a large part of the support.
