Baldur’s Gate 3 and Path of Exile 2 actually don’t have much in common. But both games have a pretty similar problem, as it turns out.
What do the games have in common? While Baldur’s Gate 3 and Path of Exile 2 are from scratch for different titles, both games can look forward to a great success on Steam. The titles share a similar system when it comes to the progress of the campaign. In both games you run through the files to get better and stronger until the end and then to complete the story.
Here the games share a problem, as both communities find. Because the first act of BG3 and POE2 is much better gambled by the adventurers than the third act. The reason for this also seems to be the same for both games.
Here you can see the film maturity of Path of Exile 2:
Between agony and duty
What are the problems of act 3 of Path of Exile 2? Both in BG3 and POE2, the gamers describe the third and the last section of the campaign as something that is not much fun. Great_White_samurai says on Reddit to the third section of Path of Exile 2: “Act 3 is a pain. Some of these cards are so damn bad.”
Synchrotr0n adds to Reddit, which bothers users: “What? You don’t like pressing 3 billion levers on an endless card without abbreviations? ”Tomment also looks similar to Reddit:“ For me, the Jiquanis Machinarium, Drowned City and Apex of Filth are similar. Great atmosphere and art, but compared to act 1 and 2, they are very exhausting. […]”
In Path of Exile 2, the problems of act 3 are primarily due to the almost infinite cards that, thanks to the lack of mobility and winding structure, need a long time to be completed without delivering interesting gameplay or bosses.
How is it going on at Akt 3 from Baldur’s Gate 3? In Baldur’s Gate 3, too, the third section of the campaign is probably the most unpopular in the title. Here the players await the big city of Baldur’s gate, which with many side stories and quests is a tough contrast to the dark second act.
Khagan27 describes a feeling on Reddit that many have: “Although act 2 by no means concludes the action, he felt like a final, and act 3 begins slowly. I think it’s good to take a break after Akt 2 and treat act 3 like a sequel. ”
On Reddit, Lordjuliuss explains why he doesn’t like the 3rd section of BG3: “No, act 3 after playing through the first thing is so annoying. Simply check in the to-do list for 20 hours ”Paper_KOnt_01 also looks similar on Reddit:” Even when I first passed my first round, I find it difficult to create act 3, so much stuff that it feels like a placking. “
In both games, the last act of the campaign for many gamers is considered particularly exhausting and lengthy for the adventurers. One of the fastest ways to end Baldur’s Gate 3 is to simply wipe out all living things, but the plan has its pitfalls: players want to kill every living being in Baldur’s Gate 3, but the community knows what it could fail miserably.
