Twitch streamer is hacked on X, hacker hurries to help and only presents 3 cyber boys

The X-account of the German Twitch streamer was hacked. However, a hacker was able to find the perpetrators quickly and only put the three young men on X.

Who was chopped? It is the German Twitch streamer Isabell “Honeypuu” Schneider. With around 2189 average spectators last year (via Sullygnome.com) she is one of the largest content creators on Twitch.

The hacker or hacktivist Nella uses her IT skills for a good cause on X and other platforms and was able to help the Twitch streamer.

Honeypuu is one of the most successful Twitch streamers in German-speaking countries:

How was the hack noticed? Using a tweet, the community immediately noticed that something was wrong. On January 22, 2025, Honeypuu’s account posted that their “Honeypuu Tokens” could be bought from now on.

If you clicked on the link, you got to a page on which you should connect your crypto wallet to get the tokens. Apparently it was a fraud, presumably to be able to access the wallets of spectators with the intention.

Hacker hurries to help: The hacker and activist Nella wrote an infotoet on X in which she drew attention to the hack. She pointed out that she was in contact with the Twitch streamer and that the community should not react to the account’s news. Above all, no links should be clicked.

A short time later, Nella (via X) wrote that she found the three people. They would have been found relatively quickly and had used a typical “SIM swapping” method.

SIM swapping Describes a fraud method in which the hackers use the mobile phone number to pretend to be the victim. In this way, the perpetrators can pretend to be the victim and commit identity theft.

Nella gave the names of the three boys, showed their chat with them and only put them on X, without revealing their identities.

Nella (via X) also wrote that Honeypuu would have posted a Tikok video by clarifying the hack but deleting it again. The reason, according to Nella, is that Honeypuu needs a break from the matter. But there would be another video.

Unfortunately, it happens far too often that accounts are hacked by large Twitch streamers or YouTubers. The Content Creator Handofblood was also the victim of a hacking attack: YouTube channel from Handofblood disappears after a hack attack is back-what was going on?
