Two people were killed and 17 injured Monday, January 27, during clashes between residents of southern Lebanon and the Israeli army, according to an official assessment. The return movement of the displaced continued for the second consecutive day despite the announcement by Prime Minister Najib Mikati that Lebanon accepted an American proposal to extend until February 18 the deadline for the withdrawal of the Israeli army.
