Tennis Channel: a free channel, but not accessible to everyone… How to get it?

Tennis Channel a free channel but not accessible to everyone

A new channel in the world of sport appeared this Monday, January 27, but it is not accessible to everyone.

Good news for fans of sport and the little yellow ball: Tennis Channel, a free 100% tennis channel, is appearing on the audiovisual landscape from this Monday, January 27. If it has existed since 2003 in the United States, it is indeed a great first for France with, to launch this channel, the broadcast of the ATP 250 tournament in Montpellier.

But be careful because if on paper the promise is good, you will probably be disappointed to see that you have to meet certain conditions to be able to watch it. Tennis Channel is currently only accessible on SamsungTV Plus, the Korean brand’s television service. The channel especially hopes and promises future agreements with TCL devices, the Molotov application and certain telecom operators in the coming days and weeks.

A very fine line-up of experts will be present on Tennis Channel since one of the best tennis commentators in France, perhaps even the best, Frédéric Verdier, will be at the helm, accompanied by Julien Benneteau, Benoît Paire and Laurent Rochette.

Quoted by L’Equipe, Julien Bergeaud, head of Tennis Channel in France, displays the channel’s ambitions with “5 to 7 cameras per court and sometimes teams on site.” Above all, there is the promise of broadcasting around twenty tournaments this year. “Several times during the season, from Montpellier and Marseille, we will broadcast the first days of the tournament. We want to print a new style. We will do “Watch Parties”, a format that works very well in the United States, with Benoit Paire who will comment on the match in front of the camera to give fans the impression of watching the game with friends.”
