Armand Duplanti’s new revelation about fiancee Desiré Inglander

Armand Duplantis and Desiré Inglander have been a couple for four years.
Now the pole vaulter reveals something private about his fiancee.

– Desiré cries every time…, he tells Expressen.

They met at a midsummer party in 2020, but at first it didn’t look like there would be any love between them. Armand Duplantis tried to invite Desire Inglander on a date, but he got cold feet.
– She didn’t want anything to do with me, she just wanted to dance, he told Vogue this summer.

Duplanti’s feelings about the Olympic final

The Swedish-American had a fantastic last year with EC gold, WC gold and Olympic gold. In addition, he broke three world records and an Olympic record in the Olympic final in Paris. The year was topped off with a proposal to his beloved Desiré. He proposed on a beach in The Hamptons, while they modeled for Vogue.
– I was more nervous than at the Olympics. I had prepared some words to say, but I couldn’t get anything out. I froze, he says.

The proposal itself was of course memorable. But the highlight of the year was otherwise the Olympic final, where he really coped with the pressure and performed at the absolute highest level.
– Sometimes there are a lot of emotions and sometimes I can think back on how big it was, what I did in Paris. It hits me hard, because you don’t get many chances to do what I did. An Olympics is the only competition where you can do something so big – and I did it. I will always carry that achievement with me, he says to Expressen.

Honest words about Desiré Inglander

He reveals that he is not the only one who gets emotional when the Olympic final in Paris comes up. To Expressen, he shares a private matter concerning his fiancee.
– Desiré cries every time she sees the world record jump, so it’s pretty cool. You can’t surpass what happened in Paris and it’s a bit of a strange feeling, he says.

At the Sports Gala, “Mondo” was awarded with the Achievement Gold, Achievement of the Year and Male Athlete of the Year for his efforts in 2024. He is of course proud of what he has done and of all the fine prizes he receives – but he would like to avoid giving so many speeches in the future.
– I don’t have much left to say. I don’t have many people to thank. But it’s good practice, because I haven’t always been so comfortable being on stage, but now it feels pretty normal. Which is strange if you compare to a few years ago. So it’s been two intense days, but it’s a great honor and I’m so grateful, he says after receiving a total of six awards at the Sports and Athletics Gala.

No wonder Desiré cries when she sees “Mondo’s” Olympic gold triumph! There were absolutely incredible, improbable feats that he was responsible for this summer.
