A tough nut
At the time of writing, the ID range consists of five models-ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7 and ID. Buzz.
The most popular is ID.4 with 32 290 new registrations.
The next new ID model will not come until 2026 and the German car giant has it tough financially.
The failing sale of the brand’s electric cars means that they may also be forced to fine EUR 1.6 billion if they do not reach the EU emission requirements for 2025.
It is also rumored that Volkswagen will abolish the ID designation on its upcoming electric cars.
In total, there are 58 183 registered electric cars from Volkswagen where e-golf and e-up are largely responsible for the 2,628 electric cars from Volkswagen which are not ID cars.
