On Sunday, January 26, 2025, many EA FC 25 players are complaining about the servers because they cannot connect to Ultimate Team. EA customer support has not yet made an official statement on the matter.
Which modes are affected by the “Server down”? Currently the connection to Ultimate Team doesn’t seem to be working. Numerous users reported about it in the last post on the EA FC Support X account. (via EA SPORTS FC Direct Communication)
We also tried to connect to Ultimate Team on MeinMMO and received the following error message:
“A connection to Ultimate Team is currently not possible. You will return to the main menu.”

When can you play Ultimate Team again?
An official statement from EA is still pending. However, we assume that EA is working hard on this problem, as the number of players is likely to be particularly high at the current Team of the Year Event (TOTY) in Ultimate Team.
We currently do not know whether EA’s unplanned maintenance is related to Saturday’s (January 25) faulty TOTY Crafting Upgrade SBC. (via EA SPORTS FC Direct Communication)
Can I log in via the Companion or Web App? After several attempts, the companion app is also not available to us because it incorrectly recognizes a log-in via the console and therefore does not allow a second user.
Things are different with the web app. Here we can log in and continue to manage our Ultimate Team, complete SBCs or open packs in the shop.

Which modes can you currently play? The impact only affects Ultimate Team online services. All other online modes such as Clubs or Online Seasons still seem to work without any problems. The offline modes such as the player/manager career or the kick-off mode are still available to you.
As soon as there is news and the servers are working again, we will inform you about it. In the meantime, you could, for example, take a look at career mode and put together a team from the best talents in EA FC 25 and use them to dominate the league and world football.
