“Every day there is good news” – Trump’s Finnish supporters have had a good week | Foreign countries

Every day there is good news Trumps Finnish supporters

During the November presidential elections in the United States, the business delegation found out the opinions of Finns about the two main candidates of the elections, About Donald Trump and Terrible about Harris. Only one in ten of those who took part in the survey declared themselves Trump supporters, Harris received 74 percent support from Finns.

Last week, Donald Trump took the oath of office for the second time and will lead the United States for the next four years. Depending on the point of view, it can seem like a disaster or a promise of a new, better time.

See the fact box for examples of the decisions and promises made by Donald Trump during his first week on the job.

Trump’s actions and promises have caused a lot of uncertainty and concern around the world. But also sincere enthusiasm and optimism. We called three well-known Finns who have a positive attitude towards Donald Trump’s politics.

Congressman Laura Huhtasaari (ps.), businessman Aleksi Valavuori and an entrepreneur Jari Mäki believe that Trump’s presidency will bring peace and prosperity to the world and break the profit flow of the woke culture.

Laura Huhtasaari: “Donald Trump is a peacemaker”

MP Laura Huhtasaarella has had a positive week. He says he has received almost only good news from the United States.

– Donald Trump is a peacemaker. He wants to calm the foreign policy chaos and end Russia’s terrible war of aggression in Ukraine. Trump prefers trade to wars. He is not actually a politician, but a deal maker, a businessman.

Huhtasaari recalls that at the beginning of the millennium, the United States was like the Roman Empire – the undisputed leader in both world economy and politics. He sees Donald Trump as a leader who can Joe Biden after years to restore US power.

– Now China has bypassed the United States in many matters. I hope that in the future the democratic United States would be the one to determine the rules of the world and not, for example, China. Under Trump’s leadership, it is possible.

According to Laura Huhtasaari, President Trump’s overtures about connecting Greenland and the Panama Canal to the United States are not something to be taken lightly.

– Trump is serious about them. I believe that Greenland is on the way to independence and needs allies. Trump is ready to make a deal with the Greenlanders. He wants Greenland’s natural resources, which are also of interest to China and Russia.

This is the beginning of the end of woke thinking.

Laura Huhtasaari (ps.)

In Huhtasaari’s view, Trump’s rise to the presidency marks the beginning of the end of woke thinking. He greets it with joy.

– Under Trump’s leadership, we are going back towards common sense. It’s ridiculous that the president has to say that there are two biological sexes. It has been a given for thousands of years, but now the woke people have replaced science with ideology.

According to Huhtasaari, it is in Europe’s interest and of central importance that the EU and the United States are strong together.

– Unfortunately, European leaders have criticized, barked and ridiculed Donald Trump. The tone has been such that what will happen if the madman wins. There’s no need to retract or regret those speeches, but now it’s time to move on to the issue of Trump.

Jari Mäki: “Trump says good things, but we should get a factual view on the issue”

Entrepreneur Jari Mäki was meeting his business partners in the USA during the US elections. He drove a rental car in Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama, interviewing people when he stopped to fill up the car or eat. According to Mäki, nine out of ten friends supported Donald Trump.

– And I wasn’t wearing a Trump cap or t-shirt, people couldn’t know what I was thinking. Then I thought that Trump would win. And so it won, Mäki enthuses.

Trump thinks the best of the USA just as Kekkonen thought the best of Finland in his time.

Jari Mäki

Jari Mäki compares Donald Trump Urho Kekkosen. According to him, both presidents are very strongly on the side of their own country and ordinary people. And both are ready to go solo if necessary, so that the best of their country can be realized.

– Trump puts America first and thinks that things will get better for normal people. There are long stretches to drive, and when Trump lowers fuel prices, people will have more money to live on.

Perjantai made a video of Jari Mäe during the US presidential election in October 2016.

Mäki says that he has business partners in the United States who employ illegal immigrants.

– My friends say that Mexicans are extremely good workers. They start work when the sun rises and don’t stop until it sets, they don’t look at the clock.

Jari Mäki does not believe that President Trump will carry out his threat to deport all illegal immigrants – just because many of those who voted for Trump are undocumented workers.

– Employers do know who is doing the right thing in the country and who is not. Yes, there are people there who can and should be given nationality papers.

Mäki believes that President Trump will be able to negotiate peace with Ukraine. According to his assessment, it will be realized in the same way as in Finland in 1945.

– Russia gets to keep the territories it has conquered so far. Then no more itching in the air. After that, the whole world sighs with relief, there is no need to send blank checks to Ukraine anymore.

What would Jari Mäki say to Donald Trump if he could talk to him for a moment alone?

– I would say that you always think about what you say, even if you are in a hurry. Trump says good things, but the issue should have a factual view.

Aleksi Valavuori: “With Trump’s victory, more and more people dare to speak again”

Businessman Aleksi Valavuori says that he followed the first week of Donald Trump’s presidency with excellent feelings.

– We have lived here for five years, a pretty crazy time around woke and cancellation. Now there was a clear change in direction, and there are two genders again.

According to Valavuori, even smart people have become quite sheepish in recent years, who don’t dare to say their own opinions out loud.

– Many people have been afraid to speak, lest they get hurt. The wake and cancel crew has been so strong. With Trump’s victory, more and more people dare to speak out.

Valavuori also points out that Trump was the most popular candidate among the young generation in the elections.

– For a long time, the picture has been painted that the youth are a little more to the left, but in fact this is not the case.

Trump’s message is that the more you try, the more you will be rewarded – and not the other way around.

Aleksi Valavuori

According to Valavuori, Finland should learn from Donald Trump’s attitude towards entrepreneurship. Trump marches his entrepreneur friend to the front row of the inauguration. According to Valavuori, entrepreneurs in Finland have been made almost enemies of the state.

– Finland, on the other hand, has become a haven for idlers. It’s a lottery win to be born in Finland if you don’t want to do anything and don’t try anything. But if you want to achieve something and succeed financially, that route is pretty much under the rock in Finland.

Trump’s immigration policy should also be used as a model, according to Valavuuori. According to him, the consequences of immigration in Finland are also catastrophic.

– Immigration has not been a boost to the economy or employment, but an annual blow to Finns’ taxation and economy.

Valavuori admits that Finland needs more working hands. In his opinion, much tougher policies should be made on where to start “scouting” immigration here. Scouting is a sports term and means observing potential good players.

– The world has the most people who are able and willing to work, but for some reason, we have not been able to find such a group in Finland. We have to think about who are the kind of people and which are the kinds of cultures that are ready to adapt to Finland and do things for this country.
