Goalkeeper star of the Finnish national football team Lukas Hradecky and their German club Leverkusen experienced disappointment on Saturday, when a 2–0 lead as a guest of Leipzig, one of the top teams in the series, ultimately withered into a 2–2 draw. The equalizer came in the 85th minute with Leverkusen’s top scorer Edmond Tapsoba with own goal.
Despite everything, the result took Hradecky into the Bundesliga history books. He became the second player ever to go 50 unbeaten matches in a row in the Bundesliga. The first to achieve this and still holds the league record with 56 consecutive unbeaten matches is the former Bayern Munich defender star Jerome Boatengsaid the statistical service Opta.
Leverkusen, who is second in the league, narrowed the gap to league leader Bayern to six points when Bayern beat Freiburg 2–1 away on Saturday.
