Sweden knew at returns that at least one point was required to keep the quarterfinals alive in the World Cup.
But the match became a nightmare where everything went wrong from the beginning.
Brazil started and went to lead 5-1. The goalkeeper Rangel da pink Quickly got a mental takeover on the Swedish shooters. He saved two penalties early and another couple completely open.

The first half must be ranked as the worst that this Swedish national team has done in many years, at least in a championship match of importance.
The Swedes looked paralyzed as Brazil continued to pull away, but the closing seconds before the break gave at least a little much needed energy kick for blue -yellow. Andreas Palicka saved a penalty when Brazil had a chance to move to a seven -goal lead – and instead managed Lukas Sandell Contract 9-14.
Albin Lagergren talked in Viaplay that the weak Swedish game was due to an attitude question.
– It looked like it was just a team that wanted and it was Brazil, says the Swedish sniper.
Goalkeeper change
Andreas Palicka was allowed to give way to Tobias Thulin Immediately after break. Thulin, who was sitting on the stands earlier in the World Cup, got a taste start with a couple of rescues and Sweden shrunk to three goals.
Brazil responded by jerking again, but Sweden chased closer.
Penal rescue by Thulin followed by two straight Sandell goals shrunk the bottom to 17-18. Just over the quarter remained, blue -yellow had contact and weathering.
But Sweden never caught up and instead the brasses pulled away and killed the match.
The Olympics last summer became a miscalculation with sorting in the quarterfinals. The fall then became turbulent when Glenn Solberg unexpectedly resigned as the national team. The successor Michael Apelgren Don’t come to the table when important pieces like Felix ClaarThe Oscar Bergendahl and Max Darj Everyone missed the World Cup due to injuries.
Fiasco
But that Sweden misses the quarterfinals in this way – even before the last round in the middle round – cannot be classified as anything other than a failure. This is the first time since the 2016 Olympics that the blue -yellow handball gentlemen are not even among the top eight.
– If we lose to Brazil we have nothing to do in a quarterfinals, Lagergren noted.
The Swedish loss also killed at Norway’s hope of reaching the quarterfinals in the home World Cup.
Brazil takes the second quarterfinals place behind Portugal from the Middle Round in Oslo. The meeting between Norway and Sweden on Sunday evening becomes irrelevant.
