In Quebec, the political class and the trade unionists react to the closure of the seven warehouses of Amazon in this province of Canada. The American trade giant took by surprise its 1,700 employees with this decision which is starting to take effect on February 8. The delivery work will be entrusted to subcontractors. The multinational does not really give an official reason to explain these closures but several stakeholders underline the recent unionization of a warehouse in Quebec.
