USA: Hundreds arrested and deported
Hundreds of people who have been in the United States without permission have been arrested and deported, according to a statement from the White House.
“The Trump administration has arrested 538 illegal immigrant criminals,” writes President Donald Trump’s press spokesperson Karoline Leavitt in social media.
According to Leavitt, “hundreds” have been deported from the country in military aircraft.
The newly elected president was elected with promises to close the country’s borders to people who try to cross it illegally. He has also promised to carry out mass deportations of people who have not been granted the right to stay in the United States.
When Trump took office, he immediately issued a series of directives, including declaring a state of emergency in the border areas with Mexico in the south and having more soldiers stationed there.
