It was around 10pm on Thursday that the police were alerted to an explosion in an apartment building in Farsta.
One person was taken to hospital by ambulance and another for a check-up. Both are adults. One of them is considered to have serious, but not life-threatening, injuries.
The explosive charge detonated inside the stairwell and was unusually powerful, the police say The evening paper.
“The apartment door is blown away and there is damage on five floors,” says police spokesperson Ola Österling to the newspaper.
There is damage from the explosion on four floors of the house, the police say. However, there is no risk of race. Bomb technicians have examined the house and the scene.
The incident is being investigated as attempted murder, gross destruction of public property and a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
The same building was subjected to an explosion on December 3 last year, writes Aftonbladet.
