With his solo goal the key player of Pikkuhvajkas sank

Finn Adam Marhiev of the Latvian RFS club scored a goal with which Ajax fell 0–1 in the European football league.

The Latvian RFS club surprised Ajax’s Finnish under-21 national team player in the Europa League by Adam Marhiev with a handsome 1–0 solo goal.

Marhiev cut off the opponent’s weak passing attempt in the center circle, pinged for a long transport with the game equipment and shot the ball with his right foot into the lower left corner near the edge of the penalty area in the 70th minute of the match.

The victory was only the first for the Riga club in the group stage. Having collected five points, RFS can no longer reach the top 24 playoffs when there is one game round to play.

For Ajax, the defeat was a bit of a shock, as they lost their chance to reach the top eight because of it.

The 22-year-old Marhievi has a preliminary contract with Cypriot Aris Limassol starting next month.

For Marhiev, who usually plays the role of a lower midfielder, scoring is a rare treat. He has played a total of 23 matches in Pikkuhuuhkaj, and has not scored a single goal in them.
