A nasty incident happened during the European Football League match.
Nine supporters of Spanish soccer club Real Sociedad were injured when they were assaulted by fans of Italy’s Lazio late Wednesday in Rome. The incident happened during the Europa League match.
Lazio ultra supporters, dressed in black clothes and covering their faces, attacked the Spaniards and stabbed some of them. According to the Italian media, nine Spaniards were injured, and one of them is seriously injured.
About 70 people belonged to the group of Sociedad supporters that was attacked. There were about 80 attackers. In addition to violent behavior, the attackers threw fireworks and smoke bombs and smashed tables and chairs.
Italian police have arrested several people suspected of the attack.
