A drug investigation that’s been ongoing since November culminated in a raid on a suspected drug dealer in an Albion Street residence on Tuesday.

Brantford Police Drug and Firearm Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant with the Emergency Response Team and Forensic Identification Unit, finding drugs, a 12-gauge sawed-off shotgun, and a digital scale.
The drugs included 32.8 grams of suspected fentanyl and 68 suspected hydromorphone pills.
Police said neither of the two men arrested at the home had a valid firearm license and one of them was prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition for life.
A 53-year-old Brantford man and an 18-year-old Guelph man are each charged with possession of fentanyl and hydromorphone for trafficking, possession of a weapons for a dangerous purpose, possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition, careless storage of a firearm, and knowledge of an unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The 53-year-old is also charged with having a firearm contrary to a court order.
Both men were held to appear in bail court.
Two arrested with drugs and stolen license plates
Two Brantford men were arrested after a Brantford Police officer stopped their vehicle on Clarence Street South near Icomm Drive on Tuesday.
A search of the vehicle turned up suspected fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and hydromorphone, along with a set of stolen license plates.
When an officer stopped the vehicle, it was found the driver was suspended from driving and unable to produce documentation for the vehicle, said police.
Police searched around the driver’s seat for documents and, instead, located the drugs.
The 26-year-old driver and his 24-year-old passenger were charged with possession of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine and hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of stolen goods under $5,000.

The driver was also charged with driving while suspended.
Both men were held for lease.
Ninja shoplifter took two juicers: Police
Brant OPP arrested a man who is accused of shoplifting two juicing machines worth $361 from a Grand River Street North store.
Police said they responded to a theft call on Jan. 14 at about 10:40 am from an employee who said a man was seen in the store and even interacted with the store manager before leaving with the stolen items.
The suspect had a Ninja slow juicer and a Ninja portable juicer from the store, police said.
Police identified the man as a 34-year-old resident of Brantford and, on Jan. 16, just after midnight, they located and arrested him without incident.
He’s been charged with theft under $5,000 but has since been released.

Hundreds of vehicles checked in holiday RIDE program
Two people were arrested and a variety of warnings were handed out during the five RIDE programs conducted by Six Nations Police over the holiday season.
From Dec. 7-31, officers checked 770 vehicles through the Reduced Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program.
Six demands were issued for testing with an approved screening device and two people were arrested and charged with impaired and driving offenses.
The warnings issued ranged from having an inoperable driver’s window, a broken windshield, not wearing a seat-belt, having a broken headlight or taillight and not having a child’s car seat safely secured.

“Campaigns are more than enforcement,” said a Six Nations Police news release.
“It is about awareness, prevention and education. Road safety is a shared responsibility and continues to be a key priority for the Six Nations Police throughout 2025.”
The police remind all of the dangers of impaired driving and encourage motorists to plan ahead and arrange for safe rides home.
Drivers should never drive if they consume alcohol, cannabis or any type of drug.
